Cruel and unusual punishment...

I don't think any animal should be subjected to this kind of abuse. Poor poodle...

On the other hand, I thought this was AWESOME!!! hahahahaha.
Spring Break. No work tomorrow. That means I can stay up and do another mani :D. So stay tuned...

GlamaDazzle

Now, I've never really been exposed to beauty blogs. But I'm starting to come across a lot of them more and more. One I found that I'm starting to keep up with is GlamaDazzle. If you're into makeup, go here. She also has links to other awesome beauty/makeup blogs. She is also doing a giveaway that ends on the 28th filled with lots of goodies. Go check it out.
The giveaway retails over $1000!!! She really loves her followers.

Rawr...

Even though I feel like I make a substantial amount of income for a student every month, at the end, I still feel like I have nothing. I am, somehow, still struggling to make ends meet when I have to pay my bills. Of course, my nail polish obsession doesn't help, but I've cut down so much!!! Rawr. Well, since I am currently broke, some things I want/been wanting.
Forever 21

Sigh.... anyways... my next upcoming mani, I think I'll do a Tiffany&Co.-inspired mani.

I joined another giveaway. This time it is from CosmeticCupcake, and it is their part of their BIG BIRTHDAY GIVEAWAY. Been flipping through all her posts and been getting some ideas and inspirations.
I just want everyone to know that I don't join giveaways just because they are free. If that was the case, I would join every single giveaway I come across, but I only join the giveaways that are sponsored by bloggers that I REALLY like/keep up with. Just to clear that up lol.

Finally a mani I'm content with :)

Posting pictures of my current mani that I am, for once, content with. And crackle polish. :)
Milani 3D Holographic HD, China Glaze Ruby Deer, Wet n' Wild Wild Shine Black Creme, Seche Clear & Seche Vite (I am falling in love with Seche Vite. I can see why a lot of other nail blogs rave about it. It smoothes everything out SOOOOOO well.)

Main art inspired by Hime Nail on Facebook, and the thumb was inspired by my friend, Sunny.

China Glaze Crackle Glaze Crushed Candy + Wet n' Wild Wild Shine Black Creme.

China Glaze Crackle Glaze Lightning Bolt + Wet n' Wild Wild Shine Black Creme.

China Glaze Crackle Glaze Cracked Concrete + Wet n' Wild Wild Shine Black Creme.

China Glaze Crackle Glaze Fault Line + Wet n' Wild Wild Shine Black Creme.

China Glaze Crackle Glaze Broken Hearted + Wet n' Wild Wild Shine Tickled Pink.

Sinful Colors Glass Pink + OPI Black Shatter.

Hard Candy Beetle & Orly Cosmic FX Space Cadet.
Honestly, they really look exactly alike. The only difference...the price. Orly was about $7.50(?)ish and Hard Candy was like $3 or $4. Sorry I can't give an exact price, but it's about a 50% difference. Color wise, the difference is very subtle and Orly seems a tinge shade lighter. When painting, Orly has a blue base and Hard Candy has a green base. Overall, if you wanna save a few dollars but want the same effects, go with the Hard Candy Beetle. The formula is pretty good to work with too, not as thin as Orly.

Attempted some gradients. Trying to perfect my method. I really want more bling. Need some time and make a designated space to play with loose glitter. I think that's the answer to my 'not enough bling/sparkle problem.'

My sad, sad parsley. I couldn't save this $0.89 fellow. :( This picture was taken a day or two ago, so it looks even sadder now...
Good night <3

So I swore to myself I would stop buying nail stuff after the glitter...

Then, I stopped by Sally's on the way to babysit to kill time, and I was the first one to see their display of China Glaze Crackle Glaze :) I couldn't help myself. So yes, I decided to use my money to buy them instead of using it towards my bills. --;;
Experimented with my camera (Sony Alpha a350).

Attempted again. Tried my first shot at a very noob color wheel. LOL.
BUT I got a legit color wheel now :)

China Glaze Crackle Glaze. PUHAHAHAHAHA. I felt so good knowing I was the first to get it at this store. Apparently, they only get them one shipment at a time (about 12 bottles per shipment). Didn't get the black one since I have OPI Black Shatter. And the blue bottle leaked. I realized this when I got home and took it out of the bag. --;; I'd go exchange it, but it's so hard to get your hands on. My boyfriend just told me to suck it up and use it. Pet peeve from nail polish that's all. Anyways, the colors are from left to right, Lightning Bolt (white), Crushed Candy (Tiffany Blue), Fault Line (purple shimmer), Broken Hearted (mix between hot pink and pink creme), and Cracked Concrete (gray).

Started another hobby, growing herbs. I just wanted to try out my green thumb. Runs in the family, yet my mom never honed in on it.

A sad chive live herb plant I found at HMart for $0.89. I'm trying to save it. lol.

Hydroponic Basil. I put it in soil. Can you plant hydroponics into soil?? So far the basil's doing pretty okay. The leaves are still crisp. There was a spider on it this morning which worries me, but that's about it.

Gonna work on nail stuff. I really want to get better. Trying to train my hand to be more steady. <3

Laziness is overcoming me...

Perhaps, it's the nice weather Atlanta has been experiencing. It hasn't really been making me want to sit in front of a computer, but instead, go outside and enjoy the early spring sun. And I have just been really busy with work and school. Good news is....after my classes tomorrow, I am on SPRING BREAK :D
For today's post, I have some new stuff I got and a design that I am not satisfied with at the moment. I have some good stuff to share in my next post! So stay tuned...I just haven't taken pictures of it yet.
Wet n' Wild Wild Shine (color). It's a glittery, holographic top coat. One stroke of it at the store on my nail, and I was convinced I had to get it. It's really pretty and shiny!!

I'm starting a collection on nail art materials other than polish, and lately I've been collecting a lot of glitter. This is a holographic glitter sample packs from Joann's. Spent so much money here buying useless things I'm sure I didn't need, but it was their President's Day Sale, and I had to stock up on some scrapbooking stuff (which I shall also blog some of later down the road).

Hello Kitty <3
Need I say more? lol. I've been on a Hello Kitty binge. My boyfriend even got me the most awesome laptop case over Christmas (shall also post a pic of this).
I'm not happy about how these turned out. These are the results of trying to do my nails over and over and OVER again. It was getting late, so this is what happened. Excuse my dry fingers. I dunno why they got so dry all of a sudden. I think it was the acetone.

In case anyone has wondered why I've been blogging about nails and polish all of a sudden on my blog, I had been looking for different things to write about, and nothing has really stuck. Maintaining a fashion blog was a lot harder than I had anticipated and the same with a food diary blog. But after looking at other nail blogs (and there are A TON) I was inspired. And this is something easy and low key that even a busy college student could keep up with. But anyways, recently discovered a blog, and THEY'RE HAVING A GIVEAWAY!!!! That means FREE!! haha. But yes, Nail Addicts Anonymous is having a giveaway for their followers. Go do it!! Here's some of what they are offering (80+ polishes/nail art stuff).
Ahh!!! I really want to win!!! >.<
Anyways...good night <3

And it keeps on coming...

That's what she said...lol.
Anyways...some new stuff and more swatches.
Haven't tried it YET. Mainly got this because sometimes when I do half moons and stuff the nail polish goes under my nail bed. It makes me paranoid to have nail polish remaining there after removal with regular cotton balls. So yeah, you're supposed to brush it on and wipe it off, so it goes in between the skin,  nail bed, every nook and cranny basically to have a clean removal. Best part: the markdown price says $3.39,  but at the register it was like $1.60. So I got two. :)

Covergirl Boundless Color in Pink Twinkle and Lay It On Me nail color (no color name, but the bottle is layered with orange at the bottom and pink with glitter on top).

Supposed to give you a cool effect when you paint them on. The bottle was on sale, and I just stumbled upon it at Rite Aid. I tried looking for the rest, but there were none. I honestly didn't even know I could find this polish (I've seen it before on another blog). But since it was the last bottle, I could tell other people had tried this on in the store. The rim was crusty. :/ Pet peeve. I always check every bottle rim before buying lol.

N.Y.C. in Skin Tight Denim Creme. A dark blue shimmer. Dries pretty fast, but I didn't like the formula. It was way too sticky and hard to get even on my nail. I do love the color though.
OPI Suede in OPI Ink Suede. I love that this polish dries so fast.

The nail polish that should have the "cool effect." I couldn't capture it well in the camera (iPhone, remember), but in person the orange to pink is VERY and I mean VERY subtle. Overall, this would be a good summer polish. I'd love to find some more of this. Lay It On Me Orange/Pink Combo.

Wet n' Wild Wild Shine in Eggplant Frost. I'm really starting to like Wet n' Wild because it's cheap, and the formula is pretty great. The only gripe I would have about it is the brush. But for a dollar, I can compromise.

Wet n' Wild Wild Shine in Caribbean Frost. Kind of a mermaid green. I love this color, but I feel like it doesn't look good on my hand.
That's it for today. I'm hoping to have SOMMEEE time tomorrow to get an actual design on my nails. Right now, they're bare after all the swatching. <3

I've got the blues~

Started slowly swatching yesterday. Currently doing my 'cool' drawer. So purples, blues, greens, grays, blacks....

Nicole by OPI My Lifesaver. Part of Justin Bieber's One Less Lonely Girl Collection.
Got this thinking it was really similar to the Tiffany's color (which I'm looking for still), but this is  a little greener.

Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear in Blue Me Away! I thought this would look lighter than it is. :/

Sinful Colors in Mint Apple. Also I thought this was similar to the Tiffany's color, and it had a slight shimmer/glitter to it. But it's too green and dark. Color is okay though.

Sinful Colors in Call You Later.  Accumulating a collection of glitters lately.

Sinful Colors in Innocent. I actually really like this green. Not too neon.

Wet n' Wild in (color). I had to trim the brush on this because it was damaged. I really need to open every bottle before purchasing. But painted on smoothly enough. Kinda frosty.

My beloved dog, Maxwell. PTFO. He fell asleep like this while I was painting my nails. <3
That's it for now. <3
